Chinatown in Rome: Piazza Vittorio October 14, 2008

For those who want to know, the name in Rome for Chinatown is Piazza Vittorio! Lots of chinese shops to make bargains…well, it’s not really like Chinatown in New York, but if you step by Stazione Termini, it deserves the five minutes walk.

I was reluctant at first to take pictures in front of the shopkeepers, but nobody noticed me. I don’t want to get into some weird chinese maphia affair :)

The Chinese New Year celebration in Rome

The chinese community seems pretty strong in Rome. Here is a video I found that shows Piazza Vittorio during the Chinese New Year. Yellow dragon. Pretty cool!
